About Bri

I'm Bri, a piercer of 6 years with a special focus in Ear Curations. It has a special place in my heart, working out piece by piece what actually belongs in your ear. Telling your story is my favourite thing.

My favourite material to work in is 14ct gold, paired with genuine stones, and it's where most of my curation work is heading. Implant-grade titanium is available too. Whether we're starting fresh or building onto piercings you already have, we work it out together, on you, in person.

What I offer

✦Services & Curation✦

All piercings use ASTM F-136 Titanium (6AL-4V-ELI) or 14ct gold with genuine precious stones. The studio is private, which means we are appointment only.

✦Piercing
30 to 60 minutes
One or multiple new piercings, no more than 3 performed at one time. We'll talk through positioning together first. Includes standard titanium jewellery and Neilmed aftercare. If you want to plan out your whole ear, let Bri know when you get in touch, as that's what the Design Session is for.
✦Design Session
Up to 2 hours
This is the first necessary appointment for an Ear Curation. Two hours to map out your full ear curation together. Bring inspo, or come with nothing at all.
✦Jewellery Change
25 minutes
Ready for your forever piece? I'll safely downsize or swap your jewellery once you've healed, and make sure everything is sitting just right.
✦Piercing Check-up
25 minutes
Something not feeling right? Come in and I'll take a look. Includes a thorough assessment and advice on next steps.
✦Anatomy Check
Up to 20 minutes
Not every piercing works on every anatomy. Come in and we'll figure out what's possible before you commit to anything.
✦Consultation
Up to 30 minutes

Booking & appointments
Fill out the contact form and Bri will get in touch to book you in.
Walk-ins are not available, this is a private, appointment-only studio. If you contact Bri and she has space the same day, she is more than happy to accommodate.
There is no minimum, but Bri does not book more than a month in advance due to travel. Sign up to the mailing list for regular updates on schedule and location.
If you cancel more than 24 hours in advance, your appointment can be moved and your deposit carries over. Cancellations within 24 hours forfeit the deposit.
Almost all appointments require a deposit to secure your slot. Deposits are non-refundable.

All piercing services and jewellery purchases are final. Once a service has been carried out or jewellery purchased, no refunds will be issued.
Anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours depending on what you are having done. Bri will never rush you, it is not a race.
Yes. Get in touch and Bri will happily answer any questions. If you are booking a child's first piercing, a consultation is recommended.
Preparing for your appointment
Eat within 4 hours, stay hydrated, and avoid alcohol or drugs for at least 24 hours beforehand. Come with clean skin, and bring valid photo ID.
You can bring one additional person. Please ensure they respect the studio rules, Bri reserves the right to ask them to leave if they are causing disruption.
No. Contact Bri and she will reschedule you.
A single-use sterile needle only. Piercing guns are never used, and numbing agents are not permitted. If you arrive with numbing cream applied, the appointment cannot proceed and the deposit will be forfeited.
Age restrictions
Lobes from 10, helix, conch and flat helix from 16, everything else from 18.
Photo ID card, driver's licence or learner's permit, passport, or birth certificate only.
Jewellery
ASTM F-136 implant grade titanium for all standard piercings. 14ct gold and niobium are also available, and platinum can be sourced on request.

No. For insurance and health and safety reasons, Bri cannot install jewellery not purchased through her.

After your 4 or 6 week check-up, Bri will assess whether you are ready to downsize or change jewellery.
Aftercare & healing
Anywhere from 6 to 12 months, sometimes longer. Healing depends on many factors.

Book a check-up before doing anything else. Do not remove an irritated piercing before getting it assessed.
No swimming in any body of water, showering only, this includes saunas. Wait until your 6 week check-up for guidance.

Absolutely. Bri loves adding to an established setup, even refreshing all the jewellery can completely transform a look.
Bri is not a member of, or affiliated with, the Association of Professional Piercers, but follows their published hygiene and safety standards in the studio.
Terms & Conditions
Applies to all artists at Samma Charles Art Studios

These terms apply to all bookings made with Samma Charles Art Studios and its artists. By confirming your appointment and paying your deposit, you agree to the following policies.

1. Booking & Deposits

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure all appointments. Failure to pay the deposit by the required deadline will result in the appointment being released.

2. Cancellations

Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances. Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice: your deposit carries over. Cancellations within 24 hours: your deposit is forfeited.

3. Payments

Balances are due on the day of the appointment. Accepted payment methods include Square (all major cards) and cash. Tipping is optional and not expected.

4. All Sales Final

All piercing services and jewellery purchases are final and non-refundable. Every client is required to sign a consent form before any service takes place.

5. Age & ID

All clients must be 18 years or older. Exceptions apply for certain placements with parental consent. Valid government issued photo ID is required at every appointment.

6. Health & Safety

Clients must disclose any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or medications before their appointment. The studio reserves the right to refuse service if a client appears under the influence, discloses a condition posing a risk, or arrives feeling unwell.

7. Copyright & Intellectual Property

All artwork, designs, and photographs created by the studio remain the intellectual property of Samma Charles Art Studios and/or the individual artist. Reproduction, commercial use, or distribution without written permission is strictly prohibited.

8. Client Data & Privacy

We collect only the personal information necessary to safely and legally provide services. Your data will never be sold, traded, or shared with unaffiliated third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.

9. Photography & Media

By signing the consent form, you grant the studio permission to photograph the work created during your session for portfolio and marketing use. If you do not wish to be photographed, inform Bri before your appointment begins.

10. Studio Liability

Piercings carry inherent risks including infection, scarring, allergic reaction, rejection, and migration. The studio accepts no liability for healing outcomes or adverse reactions that arise after you leave.

11. Right to Refuse Service

Bri reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time to protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of both client and artist. Deposits and service fees are non-refundable in these circumstances.

12. Chargebacks & Disputes

By booking and paying your deposit, you agree not to initiate a chargeback without first contacting the studio directly. Fraudulent chargebacks will be contested and reported.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
